Bankroll

1-0 yesterday + 1.35 units
1-0 for the year +1.35 units

I am playing the Yankees tonight at -165. It is a pretty big number, but CC Sabathia is one of those post season pitchers who won't let his team lose in a can't lose game. They win tonight and try to scratch their way back into the series. I don't really like to bet baseball that much, but there is no football tonight, I will have a write up about the Oregon game tomorrow.

I thought I would chime in with a word on bankroll management today, just to see what you guys think.

The biggest problem for most gamblers is always bankroll management. I myself have failed many times in managing my bankroll, that is part of the reason why I am writing this blog. If somebody is watching me, I am less likely to chase or reach for plays. I hope to remain disciplined all season long.

I recently cashed out my Full Tilt Poker balance to gear up for the new college football season. I opened an account on Full Tilt and received a $600 match bonus for my initial $600 bonus. I played low limit sit-and-goes and scratched out $300 profit to bring my total to $1500. This is my starting bankroll, and I hope to double it by seasons end. I'll admit I will still make large wagers of up to 10% of my bankroll, but usually try to keep each bet at 2-3% of my bankroll to avoid big slides.

If you want to get the $600 bonus from Full Tilt, you can get it by downloading the software from the link below and using referral code "CGN600". I know a lot of sports betters like to play cards too, so that should be a useful bonus to you.
